Timed holds and releases — follow the rep counter in the mirror.
Face Yoga Guide
Lip U Whistle Hold rounds the lips forward into a whistle “oo” for about four seconds, ten times most days, with a smooth forehead and soft jaw. It targets orbicularis oris tone without a full fish-face hollow. Skip cold sores, cracked lips, or until cleared after lip filler.
The cover shows a forward rounded lip “oo” / U: lips projected and rounded like a soft whistle, mouth not wide open, cheeks only mildly involved, eyes calm, forehead smooth. This is closed-lip rounding — not a tall Wide O, not a dense kiss pucker, not a fish-face cheek hollow, and not an air-kiss smile lift.
Sit tall facing a mirror. Soften the brows and keep the forehead quiet like the cover. Round the lips forward into a clear U / whistle “oo” shape without opening into a tall O and without sucking the cheeks into a full fish hollow. Feel the ring around the mouth work; keep teeth soft inside. Hold about four seconds with nasal breathing. Release to a soft mouth for two seconds. Repeat ten times. Do not tip the head back and do not recruit a frown.
Mirror at eye level. Head stacked, not tipped. Soften brows first — then build the whistle U.
Inhale through the nose as the lips round forward. Exhale softly on the hold without collapsing the U. Release on a quiet exhale to a soft mouth.
Short mirror phrases — calm, specific, easy to repeat between reps.
“Whistle U — not a tall open O.”
“Round the lips; don’t fish the cheeks.”
“Forward round, forehead glass.”
“Soft teeth inside the shape.”
Realistic checkpoints — form, sleep, and SPF still matter more than any single drill.
Easier to feel the lip ring rounding; lipstick may sit cleaner on most weeks.
Resting mouth border can look a touch firmer in photos when hydration is steady.
Isolation from the forehead feels automatic. Vertical lines still need SPF and kinder habits.
A maintenance perioral set. Supports tone; does not replace filler or medical care.
Form cues, safety notes, and how this drill differs from nearby guides.
Wide O opens the mouth tall. Lip U keeps a closed forward whistle round — opposite opening, different stimulus.
Pucker is a denser kiss-forward purse. The U / whistle shape is a rounder oo with quieter cheeks — related neighborhood, different mouth geometry like the cover.
Fish face prioritizes drawing the cheeks hard inward. Lip U keeps the focus on rounded lips; if cheeks hollow strongly, shrink the draw and return to a whistle round.
Air Kiss emphasizes a lifted playful kiss with more cheek lift. This U hold is a quieter forward round with cheeks only mildly involved.
Forced, repeated pursing with a clenched jaw or squinted eyes can encourage lines. Controlled holds with a smooth forehead — like the cover — train the orbicularis with better support.
Keep teeth softly parted so masseter does not hijack the set. The work belongs in the lip ring.
About four seconds per hold is enough. Longer isometrics that tremble usually mean you are over-recruiting.
Wait until your injector clears pursing. Fresh product and firm rounds do not mix.
Five short sessions of about ten holds. Quality isolation beats marathon pursing.
Yes until the barrier calms. Balm afterward is fine; do not grind cracked skin.
Drop the brows and soften the eyes like the cover. If the forehead wakes up, reset and round smaller.
Mild fatigue is expected. Cramping or filler tenderness means shorten holds or rest a day.
Notice lipstick sitting cleaner or a softer resting mouth in weekly photos. Small signal, real progress.
