Timed holds and releases — follow the rep counter in the mirror.
Face Yoga Guide
Outer Eye Finger Pinch Hold uses a gentle finger-pinched placement at the outer eye line for four-second holds across eight reps. It cues periorbital soft-tissue tone without eye-rim pressure. Skip irritation, recent periocular procedures, and any sharp orbital pain.
On the cover, both hands form a soft finger pinch at the outer eye line while the gaze stays calm and open. This is a gentle isometric pinch-traction cue — different from Outer Eye Corner Point Lift (single canthus index), Outer Eye Lateral Soft Press (one fingertip soft press), and V-frame Soft Lift (two-hand framing).
Sit tall at an eye-level mirror. Soften the jaw and drop the shoulders. Place both hands into a gentle finger pinch on the outer eye line like the cover, keeping contact on soft tissue (not the eyeball rim). Apply about 2/10 traction intent: imagine a tiny “lift + soften” along the outer eye line. Hold four seconds, then release for two seconds. Repeat eight holds. Keep blinking gentle if needed, and do not squint.
Mirror at eye level. Shoulders down. Set both hands into the outer-eye finger pinch before the first hold.
Inhale to set the gentle pinch. Exhale during the four-second hold. Release on a calm inhale.
Short mirror phrases — calm, specific, easy to repeat between reps.
"Tiny pinch, 2/10 only."
"Outer eye line — not eyelid."
"Hold 4 sec · release 2 sec."
"No squinting."
Realistic checkpoints — form, sleep, and SPF still matter more than any single drill.
Outer eye heaviness feels less intense after consistent gentle pinches.
Squinting awareness improves and the baseline feels calmer between screen sessions.
Form becomes automatic and pressure control stays lighter.
Maintenance pinch routine supports long-term periorbital comfort.
Form cues, safety notes, and how this drill differs from nearby guides.
Corner Point Lift uses a single canthus index contact in an L-hand shape. This one uses a gentle finger pinch traction at the outer eye line on both sides.
Lateral Soft Press relies on a light single fingertip support. Finger Pinch Hold uses a soft pinch-traction cue with finger pads.
V-frame Soft Lift frames the outer brow start/arch with two-hand V placement. Here, the cue is a finger pinch at the outer eye line.
Optional. Keep gaze calm and open if you need visual placement control. Close only if it helps you avoid squinting.
About 2/10. You should not feel strain, stinging, or tearing. If discomfort appears, reduce immediately.
It can improve tension-related appearance by calming periorbital tone. Permanent change depends on skin health, sleep, and sun protection.
Up to five short sets per week. Consistency with light pressure is more effective than daily strong pinching.
Only after your injector clears gentle periocular fingertip contact. Early days are a skip.
The jaw or forehead may tense. Reset shoulders down, unlock the jaw, and lighten the pinch until the eyes stay relaxed.
Stop and reduce load on that day. If headaches persist or are severe, seek medical advice.
Yes on low-load days, but avoid stacking too many periorbital drills in one session.
Skip during eye infection, open skin, or migraine aura with scalp sensitivity.
