Timed holds and releases — follow the rep counter in the mirror.
Face Yoga Guide
Glabella Brow Gather & Release uses a light three-second brow gather like the cover, then a full soft release, six times. It teaches corrugator awareness and inhibition for vertical “11” tension. Skip migraine, fresh glabella injectables until cleared, or any sharp brow pain.
The cover freezes the gather: brows drawn together with clear vertical tension between them, eyes slightly narrowed, mouth quiet. That is the awareness hold — then you release completely into a soft, open brow. This is corrugator education and release, not an all-day frown habit and not a forehead glide.
Sit tall at an eye-level mirror. Soften the jaw. Gently draw the brows toward each other as on the cover — a light gather, about 3–4/10 effort, just enough to feel the glabella “11” zone. Hold three seconds with nasal breathing. Then fully release: let the brows float apart, eyes soften, forehead quiet for four seconds. Repeat for six cycles. Never grind into a hard scowl; the skill is the honest release after a clear, brief gather.
Mirror at eye level. Soften the mouth first. Gather only the brows — then prioritize the release.
Inhale to prepare a soft face. Exhale into the light gather. Inhale again as you fully release and widen the brow space.
Short mirror phrases — calm, specific, easy to repeat between reps.
“Light gather — then a generous release.”
“Feel the 11s; don’t live in them.”
“Jaw soft on both phases.”
“Eyes soften when you let go.”
Realistic checkpoints — form, sleep, and SPF still matter more than any single drill.
Easier to notice the “11” grip after emails; releases feel clearer on most practice days.
Daytime frowning may interrupt sooner when you pair practice with screen breaks.
Gather–release becomes automatic coaching language. Deep etched lines still need SPF and broader care.
A maintenance awareness set. Supports habit change; does not freeze aging.
Form cues, safety notes, and how this drill differs from nearby guides.
A brief, light gather teaches where the corrugator lives so the release can be honest. The cover shows the awareness hold — the training win is the soft let-go afterward.
Long, hard scowls can. Short gathers at light effort with a full release should not. If you only squeeze and skip release, stop and reset.
About 3–4/10 — enough to feel the glabella, not a painful scowl. Match the cover’s clear but controlled tension.
No. A raise lifts the brows with frontalis. This drill draws them together, then softens — corrugator focus.
Only when your injector clears expression. Early neuromodulator days often mute the gather — forcing it is a skip.
Three to four short sets. Daily marathon frowning practice is the opposite of the goal.
Shrink the gather and soften the lids. The work is between the brows, not a full face squeeze.
A light outward smooth after the last release feels good. Skip deep scraping on tender skin.
Hold the soft phase longer and use a mirror. Place fingertips gently on the “11” zone and feel it melt — then remove the hands and repeat.
Common and unwanted. Unlock the teeth before each cycle so the neck does not join the frown.
Faster noticing of daytime frowning and an easier soft release in the mirror when sleep and screens are steadier.
Celebrate catching one real-world frown and releasing it. That transfer is the point of the drill.
